Woman left on road after hit and run in Adelaide on Christmas morning
Police are investigating a hit and run in Adelaide’s north on Christmas morning which has left a woman in a serious condition in hospital.
Emergency services were called to Craigmore Road at Blakeview — near the intersection with Park Lake Boulevard — just after 3:00am after reports a woman was on the road with serious injuries.
Police believe she was hit by a car which left the scene.
The woman was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition.
Also this morning, police are investigating a grass fire at Hope Valley, in Adelaide’s north-east, that they suspect was deliberately lit.
Police and fire crews were called to an area near Lyons Road, between Moule Crescent and Treelake Street, about 4:00am after reports of a large grass fire.
A separate overnight fire at a Morphett Vale house caused $100,000 in damage.
Firefighters were called to the Waverley Way unit at 6:40pm last night.
No-one was home at the time.
And police have reported a 15-year-old boy for arson after a grass fire at Freeling, north of Adelaide, yesterday morning.
Two Country Fire Service trucks were able to bring the blaze under control, but not before it burnt 300 square metres of grass on Railway Terrace.
