Two men are due to appear in court today charged over a six-hour siege in Brisbane’s inner-west yesterday.
Officers went to a unit in Auchenflower at 11:00am (AEST) yesterday to investigate a number of property offences.
When they tried to enter the unit, a shot was allegedly fired at them, but no-one was hurt.
Two men, aged 33 and 29, then barricaded themselves inside the property, forcing the closure of local streets including the busy Coronation Drive.
An emergency declaration was made and officers spent several hours negotiating with the pair.
They were taken into custody without incident, just after 4:30pm.
Police say they seized several firearms from the unit.
The two men are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
They are facing 38 charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, break and enter and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
