Tasmania’s Primary Industries Minister will step down while she is investigated due to a “personal relationship” with the head of the department she controls, the Premier has told Parliament.

The Liberal Member for Bass, Sarah Courtney, “made the request to step down from her responsibilities, after informing me on Sunday that she and her head of agency Dr [John] Whittington have developed a personal relationship,” Will Hodgman said this morning.
