Special souvenir marks Armistice centenary
AT 11am on November 11, 1918, the guns fell silent after four hellish years of “the war to end all wars”.
This Sunday, the Mercury and Sunday Tasmanian mark the 100th anniversary of the armistice with a special 40-page magazine packed with historic photos of peace celebrations and returning soldiers and the list of more than 300 servicemen whose names have been added to the honour roll of Tasmanians who died during, or as a result of, their service in World War I.
The supplement also contains the stories of all the soldiers featured in our special 100 Days of Heroes series.
Grab your free copy only in this weekend’s Sunday Tasmanian.
