Search underway after 3yo boy wanders off from campsite at Razorback, near Mudgee

A search is underway for a toddler near Mudgee who police say has wandered off from a campsite in central western New South Wales.

Three-year-old James Skillen was last seen at a private property campsite in Razorback, about 70 kilometres south of Mudgee, last night.

Police, the State Emergency Service and rescue volunteers have begun ground searches of the property this morning.

The three-year-old is described as having a fair complexion, about 60 centimetres tall, green eyes and sandy blond hair in a buzz cut.

He was last seen wearing dark blue shorts and a t-shirt and carrying a yellow backpack.

Police were alerted when he could not be located and concerns are held for his welfare.
