A major search and rescue operation is underway for a boy and a man missing off Western Australia’s Kimberley coast near Ningaloo Station.
Rescue crews are trying to find the pair, aged 12 and 18, who are on a three-metre inflatable zodiac.
They left South Lefroy Bay about 4:00pm on Tuesday, intending to travel towards Norwegian Bay, police said.
They were expected home about two hours later, but failed to return.
Water Police are co-ordinating the search and are being assisted by Exmouth Volunteer Marine Rescue and various government departments.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority has sent up its jet to help with the search, and local volunteers are searching the shoreline.
