Opportunities exist for motivated individuals to join the Wanyarra Admitted Inpatient Unit Department as a Patient Services Officer. The Patient Services Officer assists in the preparation of a quality meal service to the clients maintaining standards of hygeine and work practice as documented in the Catering Department’s Food Service Safety Program Manuel. The Patient Services Officer will also undertake routine cleaning and maintenance which ensures a clean and hygenic environment for clients and staff in both the GVAMHS inpatient and community buildings.
The successful applicant will have well-developed time management and problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and work under minimal supervision. Applicants should also possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment. A knowledge of computer based software applications including Word/Excel/database management systems would be advantageous.
