One dead in holiday road crash, traffic diverted via a paddock in southern Tasmania
A man is dead and three other people are believed injured in a two-car crash at Dunalley, about 60 kilometres east of Hobart.
The crash happened about 2:00pm on the Arthur Highway near the entrance to the Bangor Winery.
Police and paramedics are at the scene.
Traffic is being diverted along a dirt track in a paddock but police have asked people to avoid the area.
Emergency responders are using two helicopters to deal with the injured.
The vehicles involved in the crash are believed to be a four-wheel drive and a small hatchback with P-plates.
It is not yet known whether the dead and injured are tourists.
