All occupants from the Sydney Opal Tower will be forced to relocate after being evacuated for a second time while engineers carry out an investigation into what is causing the building to crumble.
Residents were initially ordered to leave after loud cracking sounds were reported on the morning of Christmas Eve.
Building developer Ecove maintains the 34-storey building is structurally sound and that evacuations are a temporary, precautionary measure.
Accommodation and compensation are being provided to residents, who could be displaced for up to 10 days.
