More than two million Australians feel socially isolated at Christmas, according to research commissioned through Roy Morgan as part of The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

The charity’s Major Bruce Harmer has told Sky News that people feel loneliness, along with depression and anxiety, more ‘acutely’ during Christmas, providing an opportunity to welcome them into the community and share the Christmas spirit.
