Man dies in suspected hit-and-run in Geelong
Police are investigating two fatal pedestrian crashes in Victoria overnight, including a suspected hit-and-run in Geelong.
A man died after being hit by a car in Geelong South, south-west of Melbourne, this morning.
He was found with life threatening injuries in Yarra Street at about 3:15am and died at the scene.
Police said it appeared the driver failed to stop.
In a separate incident, another man died after being hit by a car at Lang Lang in Victoria’s south-east.
Police said the man was walking on the South Gippsland Highway when he was struck at about 10:30pm last night.
The 22-year-old male driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police.
