British police say a family of three had an amazing escape after falling into the path of a London subway train.
British Transport Police said a mother pushing a child in a stroller tumbled off a platform onto the tracks at Baker Street station after veering too close to the edge while checking the arrivals board.
The child’s father then jumped down to help them.
Police said when the family saw a train was coming, they managed to move into a pit under the track as it safely passed over the top of them.
Police said “amazingly” none of the family members was seriously hurt, but were taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Commuters at the station took to social media afterwards, with one saying staff at the station did a “suburb job” responding to the incident afterwards.
Services on the London Underground’s Jubilee Line were disrupted after the incident on Friday evening (local time).
