Cricket Australia, T20 final Sydney, Steve Smith, SCG: Austin Waugh takes screamer
Steve Smith may have been in action during a T20 final at the SCG on Sunday but it was son of Steve Waugh, Austin, who stole the show.
The talented 19-year-old pulled off an incredible outfield catch which had shades of Glenn McGrath’s Adelaide Oval screamer about it.

The catch may not have been in the heat of an Ashes battle, or off the batting of Michael Vaughan, but it still came in a Sydney grade cricket blockbuster between Sutherland and St George.
The sides are facing off in the final of the Kingsgrove T20 Cup at the SCG.
Sutherland won the toss and sent St George in to bat first. St George set a small target of 112 for victory.
Sutherland was 2-58 in reply after 9 overs, needing a run rate of 6.4 to win.
