Clinical Nurse – General Clinic

About the role Mater Health Services General Clinic currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Clinical Nurse to join their dedicated multidisciplinary team. The position available will be offered on a fixed term part time basis working 72 hours per fortnight for a period of 4 months. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday working day shifts and also working an occasional Saturday morning for post op patients. Salary range: $44.08 – $47.23 (Registered Nurse Level 2) per hour plus superannuation What you’ll be doing Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards, you will be responsible for achieving optimal patient outcomes, updating your knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth, implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management and providing support to the Nurse Manager. About you To be successful in this position you will possess:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Demonstrated advanced interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate management and workloads
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement process, coupled with the proven ability to initiate, coordinate and evaluate quality improvement measures
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Applicants with eye clinic experience will be highly regarded
