A father who faced court, charged with murdering his baby son on Brisbane’s bayside, posted about the child’s death on the one-year anniversary of the child’s passing.
Police charged Kozan Samual Thomas Ware, 32, yesterday following an extensive investigation involving the Wynnum Child Protection Unit and the State Crime Command, after Adrian Joshua Ware, was found unresponsive at a Cleveland home in March last year.
Emergency crews were called to the address following a triple zero call and the 5-month-old was declared deceased at the scene.
One year after the boy’s death, Mr Ware posted a number of tributes on social media, which said: “I can’t believe this is the day god took u [sic] from me, my heart bleeds everyday n everynite [sic] for u my baby Adrian Joshua Wommmie Ware.”
“Dad luvz [sic] u and misses u everyday n everynite [sic].
“Today is the day my world flipped upside down, my life changed after this day.
“I would do anything to c ur [sic] cheeky smile one more time.
“Dad will c u wen [sic] I get there my baby angel AJ.”
Another post on the same day also read: “My life will neva b [sic] the same.
“This day will always break me for the rest of my life.”
There were also images of the Ware family wearing shirts, with photos of the boy and the words “fly high little angel”, honouring the boy.
Mr Ware briefly appeared in person before the Brisbane Magistrates Court, where he blew a kiss and waved at two supporters before being taken out of the dock.
His case was adjourned to a later date.
