Boy dies in truck collision on Darling Downs highway
A seven-year-old boy has died after two trucks collided at Pampas, outside Toowoomba, late yesterday causing one to burst into flames.
Queensland Police said the trucks collided when one attempted to turn off the Gore Highway around 5:00pm.
Paramedics said the young boy was trapped inside one of the vehicles and died at the scene.
The boy’s father, 31, was flown to Toowoomba Hospital with serious head injuries.
The 62-year-old man driving the other truck was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
