Annalise Braakensiek remembered as ‘genuine, kind and sincere’ after being found dead in Sydney apartment
Model, designer and actor Annalise Braakensiek has been found dead in her Sydney home.
Police went to her apartment in Potts Point just after 3pm yesterday after receiving concerned calls for her welfare.
The death is not suspicious.
Ms Braakensiek was made an R U OK? ambassador in 2017 and the organisation said she was “loved and respected”.
“We are still processing the news we have heard today,” said CEO Brendan Maher.
“Nothing we have ever asked of Annalise was too much, she has stepped up time and time again to share our message, even when she was going through her own tough times.”
“We couldn’t have asked for a more genuine, kind and sincere spokesperson.
“Our team sends condolences to her family and friends at this devastating time.”
The comments sections of Ms Braakensiek’s Instagram photos are being flooded with tributes from her followers.
“Heartbreaking news,” one person wrote.
“Your kind compassionate nature shone through in all you did over the years. A loss to the world. Sending peace and love to your loved ones.”
“I always thought of you as an Angel. RIP Beautiful Soul,” said another.
During her career she modelled in the US and Europe, and branched out into acting — starring in Home and Away as well as the SBS program Fat Pizza.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
