Acreage close to Brisbane city in demand

THIS Logan house recently sold for $42,500 more than its suburb median house sale price.

The Forestdale property is on a 5006sq m block, and has all of its living across a single level.

All Properties Group agent Jay Aston said the 19 Sienko St property was bought by a family for $830,000.

“They loved the modern feel and size of the home, the size of the land and basically everything that it had to offer,” Mr Aston said.

According to CoreLogic data, the median house sale price for Forestdale was $787,500.

This price was an increase of 4.3 per cent in the 12 months to September, and a 20.2 per cent rise in the past five years.

Mr Aston said about 30 groups viewed the property, with four written offers received, and said the area had been proving popular lately.

“The reason why it’s higher in demand is it’s the closest acreage to the city, and it can’t be subdivided at the present time,” he said.

“It has minimum acre lots with roughly 800 homes in the suburb and that should remain the same for some time to come.

“There are heaps of buyers looking and not enough stock.”
